Recommendations for Gx card $500 range +/-
« on: July 07, 2025, 07:34:37 AM »
Have finally gotten around to installing MSFS2024. My CPU is i7-10700K 3.8gz and I'm looking to upgrade my GTX 1660 Ti card. Looking for the best bang for the buck. FS2024 will be the most demanding application. Am willing to go either Nvidia or AMD.

I have the RTX 5060 and I'm real happy with it. No complaints. Although I will say the graphics in AH isn't as pretty as MSFS, Xplane, or DCS. But I reckon that's more of an AH issue than video card issue. I've had to tweek my settings more here than DCS for example. I don't play many different games, but the few I do engage in, I run at max setting.  :salute

Might want to look at the 9060 XT too. It's between the 5060 and the 5060 ti. The 16gb version is around $60 more then the 5060. It has double the vram and is supposedly faster across the board especially at higher resolutions but weaker in ray tracing.

Saw a 5070 for $529 recently. May become more common.
