Tommy IS a monster.
Just a few bands he’s played for
Black Oak Arkansas (where his solo became famous), Ozzy Osbourne, WhiteSnake.

And some who don't...

You'd think that they had made enough $$$ and had invested wisely earlier in their career so that this old men making noise calling it r&r music/noise embarrassment could be avoided..

Or is it their inflated egos that can't call it quits..

Yep. A lit of bands should have stopped in their prime. Stones are one of them.

The guy above should have been decades ago. I did 3-4 shows with him over 3 decades. It is the same exact show, no changes at all. The whole some girl brings flowers to the stage and he beats his guitar with them has happened every show for 30 yrs. Hated working that show.

George Thorogood same thing. Watched him pass out on stage from “playing to hard” 5 times over 30 yrs.

However, some artist still retain that creative skill into their 60s-70s.

The hardest part is giving up that praise. That crowd roar is like heroin to some.
Sad part is, many go out their not wanting to do it at all, its a job. They raised their standard of living and need to pay for it. Bought a $9 million home and records are selling much, so the road it is.
