 She was a Great performer who put on a show. I have to laugh about Ike Turner chasing her away. Who ever made this statue should work in Disney cartoon section and leave People who have lived alone.

I agree. He appears to have certain "qualifications" that makes him more qualified then those who do not have those qualifications and therefore those without  should not evaluate his work. Based on that I will keep my comments to myself other then to say it is not the most accurate representation I've seen.

I watched the unveiling live on the local news (I'm about 30 minutes from Brownsville), and my initial response was
