Jimmy look at the east side of tank island.  The first island eaast.  I think it is the island with V4.  The county that opens on the east side of tank island when it is a new map has the worst back up air base if that country is kicked off tank island.  Consider swapping V4 for an airbase like it use to be. That gives that country a better chance making it equal to the two other countries. fighting their way back on tank island.

Yeah, I have been advised of that by several other players as well, including my own squadies. I'll get Hitech to send me the files again and see about that. Also been thinking about making the Small airfields on the center island, uncapturable for the gv guys, and that would deal with the issue as well. :salute

Also been thinking about making the Small airfields on the center island, uncapturable for the gv guys, and that would deal with the issue as well. :salute

I think if you make those center bases uncapturable you extend the life cycle of the current worst map in the game by a lot. The time investment required when on the offensive is on the high end side. Time is precious after all… and nobody wants isles up all week.

I hear you, a lot of talk about wanting it taken our of rotation. On the other hand a lot of complaints about the flyers interfering with Tank Town battles. Hard to please everyone. :rolleyes:

I personally love the map as we really don’t have any island hoping maps quite like it

Here's my counterpoint: Fewer people will complain about the map being up if there's always a fight going on the center island. There's plenty of other bases elsewhere for you to capture without ruining the center island fight.

Thank you Jimmy.    The last couple of times the map was up during prime time the island was owned by one country.  The country with the V$ island had a hard time getting back on the island.

Please consider as well a third base for each country.  A GV base set close to the center for three way tank battles with a short spawn back to the small airfield to help protect that base.

NDIsles has a lot of potential if a better balance can be established on the map layout.

Ironic, I was thinking about that option the other day as well.

Devil, that is the problem with its current layout, one country seems to capture the entire island, thus eliminating ANY fighting in tank town.

Yeah, I agree. Ideally, the whole center should be uncaptureable.

Interesting that there is a focus on the center island of NDisles for dogfights and tank fights.  I'm not sure if players would use the area if the fields weren't capturable.  There are center dogfight fields on Northco, Badlands, and Crags (that are capturable but easily resupplied from remote non-capturable fields) which don't seem to get any use.  Maybe it's the canyons on NDisles, or just tradition.   :headscratch:

Was going to say the same.  If those bases become uncapturable, 95% of the current player base won't even look in that area.  If it's not a strat factory, or part of "winning" the map, the people left here won't care.  It basically be a dead zone on the map.

I say try it out for a couple weeks and see what happens, they can easily just be made capture-able again right? Seems to be worth an experiment
