This La-7 flew with the 813th "Red Banner" Fighter Regiment in the winter of 1944/45. The dark grey of its factory two tone grey camouflage had been overpainted in a lighter shade, likely the lighter grey. Also its red star markings and bort number were freshly repainted, although the Red Banner symbols on the fuselage were left alone and painted around.
