$20 minimum wage drove a lot of prices up. Other factors of course but I'm not going to get political. I'm just glad to see gas prices becoming more reasonable. Electricity will likely follow.

A rubber hose and the taste of gasoline always make gas affordable.  Keep some breath mints handy.

I wonder how fuel prices down .50 cents will bring down price of 1lb ground beef now at almost $7. 12 pack of pop/soda $10. 100% markups. Not to mention everything is high priced now

Splain this connection to me. Or is it simply deflection from food prices? How does this save an imploding economy?

Decades of devaluing the dollar..with trillion dollar overspending annually by everyone in power is expediting the decline imo..

Oil is a big source of energy. Cut the price in half and those things dependent on that energy will be less costly. Very significantly in some cases. Isn't that obvious?

Ok lets not mention taco's 2019-2020 economy, that would really mess up a concept, but ya I get your point. But IMO, that's not enough to sway any big price change. It will get you there cheaper to still pay high is all I see. If they really wanted to make a huge advance it would be removing beef tarrifs and bringing beef down.....you don't eat gas. <shrug>

You think they will pass on shipping breaks to you when they are suffering tariff loses? MAYBE

Ok true enough, IF you cut gas in half.....but that's not where we are. Fuel will not effect tariffs on beef, aluminum (for cans) or produce. They cut tariffs on coffee and some produce weeks ago, I'm still paying 100% markup on it.

Now, if gas dropped to say $1.50,.. gitty up! But that would just be shipping. It's just not going to get there. And if it does, I'll buy everyone here dinner.

My electricity went up 20%, and no it did not come down, they don't want to lower it, they have an approved gouge going. My state literally approved the hike.

Once you jack prices up,... too much seems like a break, and they don't want to bring them down unless you stop buying it. Supply and demand dictates all.

Remember, most shipping runs on diesel, not gas.
Gasoline will not turn this economy around.

Nothing more I'd like than to be wrong on these subjects. Instincts, odds, and greedy human nature snuffs that.

Oh ya,.. that's somewhat true. But they aren't spending it on you anymore. Which is worse.
