Training films available
« on: April 17, 2001, 08:05:00 AM »
I've started filming a collection of training films that I will be adding to constantly.

Aces High Training Films

Be sure to read the description below each film prior to viewing, and turn TRAILS on, as well as using exterior viewer (F4,F5,F8, keypad for rotation, Z key for zooming) for best results of viewing.

Most films will be narrated in the text buffer as to what I am doing in each.  The basic platform for some these films (but not all) will be the F4U Corsair, however, considering the nature of the training films, you can 'replace' the F4U with any plane you choose for tactics.  When I post a new film, I will bump this thread to the top.

All films are in ZIP format, simply download it to a folder, and unzip it into your Aces High Films folder then open up Aces High, and select FILM and open the file to view.  Note the 'anomolies' on this website regarding films in Aces High as well.

Hope this helps some of you.

Thank you

Im always interested in these, interesting to go over them watching simply how the plane is handled and not just the subject.

FYI, sometimes my flying is not only smooth because I'm typing these narrations within the films...

Oh I woulda shot you down long before you got that close to my B-17 at that angle

Remember that B-17 mission we did before I joined the JG2?  This musta been back in June of last year, buncha guys joined up in B-17's, even one of em forgot to raise his flaps, couldn't get enough alt and ran into the mountain between us and the target    6 kills in B-17, NO DAMAGE... and I mighta hit some stuff with my bombs, can't remember

I swore off all non-german aircraft before the start of this tour.  I ran up 5 kills in the A5 and didn't get kilt once... and then my joystick broke

Damnit, I wanna kill bombers!       !!!

Yes, I remember that mission Tom!  Were you with JG2 when we took a large bomber formation with a C47 in the middle of the formation (escort on the edges of the formation) to a rear Rook field, and bombed, vulched, and captured it?  'The good ol' days',
