Gameing the game

Getting sick of this kind of crap. Tonight 1 single guy held off between 7 and 15 of us from capturing F11. He would wait till the goon was inbound, spawn from the hanger. He never got off the ground but managed to straiff the troops before they got to the map room. There is no way in hell 1 person should be able to hold off a mob like we had there. he would just roll, shoot 1 or 2 paras, die, roll, shoot die, roll shoot die, we all had about 5 kills each on him. Frankly this gameing of the game is ruining the experience for me. Please disable guns on fighters while on the ground. I dont give a toejam if its realistic or not, respawning  20 times in 1 min in the same exact spot is not realistic either. Its a gameplay issue, why bother defending a field, climbing to kill buffs, scrambling fighters to intercept raids when you can sit in the tower, wait for the goon and pull this kind of roadkill.
If you were there please dont mention any names, thats not going to solve anything, its a gameplay isue, not a witch hunt. Htc, please fix it asap. Another night ruined by "quakers"...nothing against people who play quake, its just not what I pay for.

Bomb or strafe the hangar; once it is gone, there is no spawn. A couple 1C's can easily strafe down a hangar.

Hate this too, Rosco, but there is a way to defeat it at least.

Kill the hangers, plain and simple
or you can game the game yourself and park a b26 behind where he's spawning ::shrug::

And you dinnae have to keep attacking 11, you could have gone elsewhere and come back to it later.  I've done that many a time when I've run into a "quaker"
plenty of fields to fight over in the arena

ummm guys I was there too. Just to let you know something it wouldn't matter if we took hangers down. They would be up before a goon could even get there. And btw do you know how many bombers it would take to close A11?
It would take 36 1k bombs to close that damn airfield. Thats 12 damn B17s loaded with 6 1kers each. Then you also need one for acks. Do you really think you're gonna be able to get 13 ppl to flys buffs? I don't think so. But Ros is right, this roadkill of one fighter screwing an enitre attack is really messing the game up. Something has gotta be done, and I like the idea of no guns active on the ground. AND YOU CAN'T SAY ITS UNREALISTIC! I mean it takes 3000 pounds of bombs to kill one damn hanger. Is that realistic? I think not, but it was done for a gameplay issue.  Anyway, I got really pissed seeing a lone SPIT spwaning in the hanger, then rolling out killing all of our troops. And yes we did take hangers out, but it didn't matter as the bomber hangers where still up. They rolled out in 26s and killed all of our troops. Anyway I'm starting to get pissed just thinking about it so I'll stop here.

You need to go back to bomber school and study your basics again

12 hangers on the field, counting the VH.  7FH, 4BH, 1VH
That equals 6 B-17Gs loaded with 1000lb eggs.  Plus a 7th for the acks.  And what's this about the goon getting there before the hanger is up?  launch the goon 2 minutes after the bombers.  The ack suppression starts as soon as that buff arrives.  The others criss cross the field taking out thier assigned hangers.  The field is shut down within minutes.  If done right it can be totally shut down before the defenders can even react.

Is it realistic that a major base is defended by one guy....
have your goons make dry runs and drop only 2 at a time..
ps.
if you got 8 drunks in several times it would only take 2 such drops to capture the field..the troops are cumalitive

Although I agree that 1 defender should not be able to prevent capture, it's not that hard to capture a base with coordination and surprise.  Cave, myself, and 6 others took 3 major bases in a row against the bish before they finally stopped us.  It wasn't even the slightest bit difficult, I flew a b26 with 250s for deacking duty, while Cave lead the b17s who each has assigned hangars to hit.  After 1 pass all but one of the hangars (v hangar) was usually dead, and 5 acks would also be dead.  After 2 more passes I finished the ack, and our goon had arrived.  We did this 3 times before the bishops reacted fast enough the 4th time.  They launched 6 b26s (LOL what a sight) as we had killed the fighter and vehicle hangar on the first pass.  We only had a couple fighters, so it took several tries to finally get that base.

Another tactic that works very well is to park a panzer right in the middle of their runway.  Any plane that tries to take off can be easily destroyed in a single shot.

And what do you think about guys bombing your HQ and hitting alt-F4 when bingo bombs?

You take an interceptor, fly a lot to gain altitude, and when you are approaching, they was ghosts.
This mean no buff hunters (i love hunting buffs !!), only vulchers and quakers in this game...
Too bad.

One possible solution, you MUST land or be killed (shooted down), before your actions become permanent, otherwise, the damage you've done disappears.
This way bombers have to go back home, long way back, as in RL (is this a sim, or not?).

Dunno 'bout disabling guns while on the runway.. like yesterday I was standing on the runway ready to take off.. when a bogey did a low pass shooting my tail off.. he passed overhead and I thought ..'Why not?' and pulled the trigger..shot the little bugger in two!
