I think I died about 10 seconds after this SS was taken( if that long :D )
What would you do in a situation like this?
(old screen shot, about 1.06 or so)

Not much you CAN do.  When I end up in a situation like that I try to slow down and pray they overshoot.....and usually they don't  :)

Well first off all i woulda got outta that drab stang and got into some fine RAF steel :D

From the ss it's looks like you wouldn't have lasted long.  Tiffy will outrun you and niks will out-turn you.

You're best bet would have been perform a barrel roll to try and force them to overshoot.  When the tiffy flies by try and get a snap shot on him (a very quick snapshot) and carry on the barrel roll until the niks fly past.  When they fly by try and do a gentle turn and runaway while they yank back on their sticks and lose E.   You have to do all this while in the meantime keeping your speed up- easy eh?

Would have worked for me but you obviously suck and would have died no matter what you did:D

Yupp, that the worst situation: A mix of fast fighters & turners (in this instance 2 super dweebrides with onboard e-generators) on your six - Your only hope lies in killshooter.  :-) Use rudder to slide and weave, its a slight chance that one of the nikidweebs gets triggerhappy and blows himself up.  If not, log off, get a cup of coffee and relax a while before trying again...

You just don't get low and slow with these planes around.

It is hard to say if they had any closure on you there.  If not and if you kept your speed up, you could use some high speed maneuvering to keep yourself out of their sights.

Long and gentle maneuvers only. Roll gently away from them and pull just a little. When they match your bank, roll into another direction.  The idea is to keep your speed in turn, or even accelerate. Chance is they won't pick this up and will pull harder, only to bleed off speed. This is something what 190 does very well with Spitfire with no closure on its 6 and shooting. Move is patented by RAM, I call it "flat turn escape" ;).

coulda been worse... you coulda been in a hog.   Seriously... you have every chance in the world of surviving this engagement if you were at top speed in the 51.   In a hog you would have no chance other than hope the tiffie was a lousy shot.

well that's the problem, I wasn't.

the tiffy was really haulin ass, and I hit him on the overshoot (no serious damage as far as I could tell ).
but the N1k's where coming much slower(about 300 or so, i was doing about 225-250), not much I could do at the time. If i didn't try for the tiffy, it would have just turned into a situation where i had 1 plane BnZ'ing me while 2 others where trying to turn fight me..oh well all in fun eh? :)

I really started this thread to get people to post pics of themselves in similar situations, and to tell us if they lived or not, what they did etc...
