Perception is a funny thing

I watched the clip about 20 times yesterday. I saw Tyson standign on his pedistal when Lewis entered with his enterage. Lewis got onto his pedistal and Tyson immediately walked over to Lewis' side. To me it looked like Lewis brought his right arm back in a defensive posture. Tyson then took a swing at Lewis' body guard.

Then there was the whole fiasco with the "white punk squeak ho" reporter. Man I tella ya what if that had been a white dude up there spouting off that racist crap you'd never hear the end of it. I don't uderstand how this guy is even allowed to fight afte the ear deal. He belongs in prison and it looks like he may be headed back on another rape.

The truely sad part is the potential this guy had. He could have been the next Muhamed Ali or George Forman. He could have been a supurb role model for black kids in this country. Me thinks Don King and the streets messed up his head bad, more so Don King than the streets. It's like a page out of that Rocky 5 or 6 which ever it was with Tommy Gunn.

Though I hope they let them fight, I'd love to see Lewis kick Tyson's arse. Keep the belt Briton! If Tyson brings them back to the USA, I don't want em. Lewis deserves it more than Tyson!!

seems strange to me that every black role model, and until tyson fell from grace in the 80s, he was one for all those street kids, they are destroyed in the public eye by the media etc or even worse killed!.

ever since i read a peice about the 'uncanny' way in which all black heros are attacked it has had me thinking and slightly more suspicious when i see the allegations against them.I often try to think of possible reasons for their sudden falls from the pedistal the black community put them on.They are thrust right into the front of the racsist issues.Are they knocked off these pedistals or do they jump off without a care for their community or people?

This is something that increasingly is annoying me. If a caucasian man makes an equivalent comment about a man of another 'race', he'll lose his job. He'll be dragged into court, and he'll be found guilty of whatever it is called in English.

If a black man utters the same, it is just 'years of opression slowly seeping through, unbearable pain suffered through generations that even the strongest of wills cannot contain' blah blah blah roadkill.

I'm fed up with the double standards on racism. The fact of the matter is: if it goes against ANY race, including the caucasian one, it is racism. Not these f*ckn double standards.

Some would call me a racist just for saying this. The extremist socialist a friend of mine hangs out with did just that :/

Amen Santa! Try being a southern conservative in America, people (of course not all people) just automaticly ASSume you're a racist, once they know you're a conservative. When the truth of the matter is that most white people are scared to even say the word "black" even when not talking about people.
