Since I hijacked the other thread (sorry).  Let me mention that I just heard that the N.Y.Firefighter statue idea has been scrapped.

Also, they were right as far as it being a moment that deserves to be memorialized.  If the NYFD wanted to erect an accurate version of the statue.  I'm sure there are more than just a few people that would be willing to donate to the fund.
