That's a good question. I have asked it and had no replies, so I will tell you what I know.
There are a few references to it in the help files. One explains what the symbols mean under the help on the
clipboard . The other is in the
Strategy .
This is how I think it works:
The bar indicates the number of freindly and enemy in the sector. The bar counts everyone in the sector but it will not show the exact location. This indicator can only be disabled by destroying HQ.
Each airfield has a radar that picks up enemy in a 12.5 mile range. The enemy needs to be over 500 feet above the ground to be seen on radar. This radar will show exact location on your map as a dot. This radar can be taken out by destroying the radar at that field. Or all radar dots can be disabled by destroying HQ.
Friendly radar dots seem to show up even when enemy dots may not because they are out of range or below radar. Friendly dots will disapear if your HQ is destroyed.
