The future of strategy in AH?
« on: January 26, 2000, 07:57:00 AM »
After flying the beta, I've decided to open up an account when the time comes. My experience with Warbirds has shown me that although dogfighting is loads of fun for a long time, eventually people start wanting to have the ability to start doing other things. While AH currently has some hard targets to hit in Buffs, I was wondering what we can expect to see in the future development, as far as things that we'll be able to do in AH, strat-wise.

Yes, I do have my own personal agenda as far as strat is concerned, but I'll spare you my ramblings on that(for now, anyway  ).

Pyro? HT? Bueller?

I have not yet decided if i am  going to open up an account or not. . . If HTC aint gonna do something new with their sim and keep it to an "furball fest", then i have to say 'been there done that. . .'

The 8 player free H2H will do djust fine for me if i want to go upp and furball some. . .

I will sign up if there are gonna be something new to do in AH in the future, like flying in an HA, with historical matchups and revised icons etc OK BACK ON TOPIC!   or if an good strat model is implemented in the 'main' arena, i.e jabo brigdes, trains and other targets. . .

Regards.

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but, the first company to introduce vehicles as part of the strat will get most of the online flight sim business...

I figured since AH might, at some time, get moving trains you'd need configurations of the train cars. Here is that information, reprinted in part, from "A handbook on German military forces". This train configuration is given for German troop trains. Armored trains, antiaircraft trains and other types will be posted when I can figure the layout.

^.---------/’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’’//,,,,,,,,,,,,,,+++ =55

^.--T---T---T--/’’’’/--T---T---T--+++ =32
^.-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|/’’’’---------+++ =33

Legend:
^.= guards car    "-"= 34.9 ft flatcar   "-|"= 27.6 ft flatcar with stanchions
’ = boxcar      /= 22 ft antiaircraft car   +++= locomotive
T= flatcar for Tiger tanks   >= 24 ft gondola   ,= 22 ft flatcar
