« on: January 19, 2002, 01:00:32 PM »
ok,I have a geforce 3 ti200 card from gainward/cardexpert.I loaded the drivers for it from the cd.I hear that the detonator xp drivers are better from nvidia so I downloaded those but I am not sure how to go about uninstalling the drivers that came on the gainward cdrom and correctly installing the detonator drivers.I appreciate the advice. :D

It should be enough to uninstall the old drivers and reboot..

Your computer will then use standard vga driver which lets you go to desktop at low resolution..

You can then install the new display driver, reboot and youre done.

Now overclock that mother!

I got mine up to 230Mhz core/ 500Mhz memory before I got bored with testing it last night.  It raised my 3dmark from 4750 to 4931

One small tip when uninstalling video drivers: when you uninstall the old drivers and revert to VGA, boot in VGA mode and then shutdown in VGA mode. Then reboot and install your new drivers.

Just ran 3dmark2001.I overclocked the vid card to 215 core and 475 memclock.I tried to set it higher but the system became very unstable.Anyhow,3dmark gives me a score of 5998!I am very pleased:D
