However hit percentage should be least significant.

So by this, you are basically saying that the "Last Star Fighter" Death Blossom, where you just spin wildly, shooting 20mm Hispanos that kill at 1.5K with one ping should be the way you get higher ranked? Sure, you might get shot down, but if you went into the endless N1k loop and just started spraying, you are bound to hit a few planes before you go down. Lame.

K/D, K/S, and Hit% should be weighted more than K/T.

The beauty of the currrent system is that, in the "death blossom" scenario, you might get a high k/t + k/s (doubtful,) but you'll take a pounding in hit percentage, and probably k/d as well, meaning that this blatantly stupid tactic doesn't help, and might even hurt.

K/T appears to me to be the most direct measurement of aggressiveness -- something we're told is good in a fighter pilot.  Obviously, it's not the only thing, but the others are rewarded as well.

Also hit% discourages teamwork. I take a lot of long shots just to get a guy off my wingmans 6. I think teamwork is one of the greatest aspects of this game.
