The card should come with instructions on how to install, usually you do not have to remove anything before you install a new card.. As far as which drivers to use, I would try the drivers that come with the card. If you experience lockups or if you think you should be getting a better FR with your hardware then look to some of the older drivers. Also a good thing to do is backup any critical data before making any hardware changes to a computer. While drive crash's seldom happen, having your data backed up makes recovery alot easier.
