Hitech - help!
« on: January 25, 2002, 04:27:22 AM »
I have a CH products stick (combat stick), pro throttle and pro pedals.  All are USB.

The computer I use for Aces High is a multi-boot computer.  It has Linux on one set of drives, Windoze on another.

Here's what I have to do every time I boot to windows.

1. Load the control manager, load the correct map file and activate it.

2. Start Aces High and go to setup/joystick/calibrate.  I have to calibrate the stick in Aces High every single time.

3. If I exit Aces High, but stay in windows, I still have to go through step 2 if I restart Aces High.

Now, I know AH must create and store a data file when I do the calibration.  I don't understand why it is necessary to re-calibrate in Aces High every single time I restart windows or exit Aces High.

I understand step 1, but what in the world is going on with step 2?

Your sticks will calibrate themselves if you move them to their extents after you load your profile in CH's program.

There shouldn't be any need to calibrate them after that, unless something else is going on. Thats the way they work for me.

Also make sure you have the newest CH manager version. I was using an older one and had some problems with it before I upgraded.
