Wow, that is low. I am running almost the exact same setup and I get over 70 fps average at that resolution while running about 8 to 12 other programs in the background!

This is just a quick thought: Have you checked your AGP aperture setting in the BIOS?? I heard that due to a bug in the VIA chipset it can slow the GFORCE 3 card way down. To work around this the fix is to set your AGP aperture setting in the BIOS to 128. I hope this helps!  Good luck!

I have almost the exact setup and I am getting on average over a 100 fps.  The lastest driver release for the Geoforce card dropped my fps way down to about what you are getting.  I switched back to version 4.13.01.2183 and it runs great.

Version 23.11 drivers are extremely buggy. DO NOT use them.  Switch back to the 21.83 drivers.

You should also make sure you've installed the VIA AGP driver.  (Part of the 4 in 1 package if you've already done them.)  Newer AGP drivers are at http://www.viahardware.com .

I think "YMMV" is in order after this statement. 23.11 with XP here on both desktop (XP1600/Ti500) and laptop (PIII1GHz/GF2Go) - both rock solid delivering the best performance yet. I got 10-15% hike with 3DMarks on a laptop with these drivers - and believe me, I've been through all of them.

Thanks for all the info guys:D

Apparently I lost my AGP driver,When I tried to reinstall the 4 in 1 drivers the computer kept locking up,so I just fdisked and reformatted, reinstalled win ME.Ran 3d mark and got a score of 7,089 in 1024x768 res so I'm pretty happy now.Aces High graphics are now smooth as silk:)

I swapped out an ASUSK7M MB, and athlon 950 slot A, and 256 pc100 mem.  I had a geforce3 Ti200 card and I was using the 23.11 drivers

After I installed an ASUSM266, with an Athlon XP1600 and 256DDR memory, my framerates were about the same as when running the 950 and PC100ram.  This was with 23.11 drivers also.

On a hunch I deleted the 23.11s' and reinstalled the 21.83s' and my frame rate improved.

Could be a driver issue.  Bloom25 also stated in another topic here that windows had to be reinstalled so that the new system could handle the special instructions that the new CPU gave my system as opposed to the athlon 950 slot A

Bloom can help a lot.  See if you can contact him.
