Wanna fly a mustang?

Then come join the 357th Pony Express. Named after the famous 357th "Yoxford Boys" Fighter Group of the US 8th Airforce that flew the European theatre in the last half of WW2.

We are an informal sqaudron whos primary focus is to have fun and learn about and master the P51 as our main ride of choice. We consist of several members from all over the globe (Canada, US, New Zealand, Australia, Korea), so your timezone may not be a problem.

We are looking for new recruits and/or seasoned veterans to fill the ranks. Experience is not necessarily a problem - a willingness to learn and work together is more important. Nothing is mandatory in our sqaudron except on sqaud nights, so you can fly what you want, but you would fit in better and may even learn a thing or two with the P51.

Regular training and sqaud operations are provided (in the P51 of course).

Drop me an email to get the ball rolling :)

Just a footnote, i have now formally taken over the 357th Sqaud, wardog agreed to disband, and let me reform it under me so he can fully step down from the CO position (which he has been for a while anyhow, just not on the books, so to speak). I want to make a few changes in the sqaudron - more on that later.

Why join 357th?

 - Get support in the Main Arean.
 - fly with a wingman over voice comms.
 - organised missions
 - Get good training in a P51 Mustang, B or D models.
 - learn good ACM, figher, wing, and group tactics.
 - learn effective mission planning.
 - amass millions of perk points :)

We are looking for:
 - newbies.
 - ex-AW pilots
 - seasoned veterans looking for a challenge. There is the XO, and tactics officer position open for suitable candidates.

I fly GMT+12 hours (NZ Local time) between 10pm and 12am or so, sunday - thurs.

Propositions from other COs on joint squad operations, or 'wing' groups, welcome. Im open to suggestion.
