"...Work for your kills, i did and i think Night and Storm fronts a fantastic place to work on your SA..."

When I work for my kills, hopefully it includes having to outfly the other guy...not killing some guy that can't even see me, because his video is too dark.

My guess is the boom and zoom types love it.  Their idea of a great kill, is one that never saw them.

Boom & Zoom in clouds NOT!!

Me and Manedew took up a pair of Tempest from a44 under the storm, in the clouds where waiting a lone 109f4. This T&B fight lasted a very long time. In clouds and under clouds for 10 mins or so. I lost the con about 10x in the dark. It was a fantastic fight. Hard to see as it should be! I dont have any kind of super computer here either.

PIII 550 Katmai
TNT2 Pro
256meg sdram

No problems in  fight at all. Did lose a wing deacking a44 as it was captured on our RTB...

Gona take a look at the film right now as a matter of fact ..

Dog out...........

Will try this one more time...the problem is not the clouds, it's UNDER the clouds.  I think we're all in agreement that you shouldn't be able to see while flying through clouds.

Please don't tell me it's supposed to be this dark under the clouds...unless maybe it's monsoon season year round?

I guess some people are willing to ignore some aspects to gain others- ie they like the dark storm area and ignore the ridiculous grey sheet metal box.  Others (like me) just see the grey box and go elsewhere.  Regarding night: we see a full moon yet the full night is way way too dark to be realistic.  The human eye has an enormous range of sensitivity- it has a dynamic range of something like a million or more.  At night it becomes way more sensitive (but in black and white only, no color vision).  In fact, your eyeball can actually detect a single photon.  On moonlite non-overcast nights if you let your eyes dark adapt for at least ten minutes,  you will be able to clearly see buildings, roads, mountains etc even in areas with no lighting.  In AH some people that don't have enough range in their montior's gamma get pitch black at night.  How are they suppose to do anything?  A better simulation for night would be something like the current dusk, but in grey scale only.

Well, I for one am damn glad to see night again! It is beautiful.

I think if we give HTC some time to iron out the bugs then we'll have a night all can enjoy.

There are a few issues just yet with the icon shading and it's also a pain that when you're under clouds, all radar images dim on the kneeboard map. I also agree that a full moon that big would light up the countryside a little more.

But give it time guys (and consider upgrading your hardware if you have an old system). It can only get better.

Must be your video card, the bane of all nighttime in games   See if you can see the Arado bomber clearly in this image: Night Blitz It should be quite clear in subtle moonlight. If you can't see it you might want to find out if there's some parameters you can use on startup to increase your video card gamma. Looks like night is going to leave the MA again, fantastic

Man I love night fights! seeing those tracers fly past your canopy can scare the ba-jeezus outta ya! and the way the moon lights everything up is so cool. I can see the icons and the enemy planes just fine, it's just hard to tell where they're going. and that's the way it should be! I'm having fun with the night fights.

Brady, what time does the night start in the game? I want to check it out later. I'm also one of the guys that voted yes to bring it back. Those night furballs are awesome!!
