We came to life in Aces High in the middle of Tour 14 when Sturm6 and bradys5 joined together to form the squad. I joined the squad at the end of Tour 14. AG had originally envisioned the squad having only 4 members.
Tour 19 was the first tour where we had all 4 roster slots filled and flying. JV44AG, Bradys5, Erlkonig and me.
With the expectation that Aces High version 1.08, coupled with the price reduction from $29.99 to $14.99, would mean larger numbers in the main it was decided to expand JV44 Wurger-Staffel to 6 members. After a few weeks we found our next recruit, Elysian. Our next member was Urchin bringing us to 6.
We later picked up leitwolf to replace Elysian who do to rl reasons was away from ah for a bit. Bradys5 left the squad last tour.
Our first full tour as a squad we were ranked 1st. We have consistantly finished in the top 5 in squad rankings.
Now that brings us to today.
We are looking to expand our numbers to 12. Historically JV44 Platzschutzstaffel had only 6 pilots but 4 planes.
We had been talking about reforming the squad under a new name to invite more folks and to reflect a true staffel.
With the recent disbanding of 3./JG2 we were contacted by Minus and have decided with him to bring Jagdgeschwader 2 back to Aces High.
We dont wish to compete against the history of the founders of the original jg2 in aces high but we have a few good sticks and have always been able to hold our own.
I am the worst pilot in the squad.
So as of this evening JV44 "Wurger-Staffle" will be disbanded and our member will join with minus as 3./JG2 "Richthofen"
