Naming her movie Crossroads is an insult. There was a good flick called Crossroads done back in the 80's with Ralph Machio and Steve Vai. Loads of blues, blue grass, and some pretty good screaming metal too. Now this teenie-bopper with less talent than Toto Jackson swipes the name.

Have to agree with flakbait here. Having seen the original Crossroads before the fact that a poppy film is going for the same name is quite irritating. Yeah well, Britney's acting skills might be on par with Vai's et al but "her" music isn't

I saw her on SNL and was impressed with her preformance.She was able to hold her own on various sketches and had definite camera presence.I guess this is from being in TV for almost 20 years..Then she came out and sang..err..tried to sing a slow song.EECHH!!!...Absolutely,completely,positively no talent whatsoever!..It was wretched..Her crackly,prissy and non emotive delivery is proof that with today's technology,you can make ANYONE sound good in a recording studio.Especially if you have hired professional song writers.And her boyfriend Jason?..Let's all say a little prayer they don't reproduce.

Well, she's getting a bit long in the tooth to pull off the lolita deal, so her handlers have to transition her into something new for the 20s/30s crowd. Making her the next Madonna would be the end goal, but having seen the latest incarnation during the Superbowl, and seeing the trailers for her new movie (b-fest here it comes!), I don't think it's going to happen.

Her average talent and looks (by hollywood/music industry standards, of course) would be acceptable if she had star power personality. She just isn't that exciting once you go beyond the schoolgirl/lust fantasy.

Gwen Stefani on the other hand

Though you can tell the "edge" is being produced out of No Doubt's sound in favor of a more pop direction, which is too bad IMHO.

Brittney will be a porn spread 10 years from now when she needs dough to maintain her..err..lifestlye..Check out Tiffanie.."I think we're Alone Now"..She just turned 30(eeek..I'm getting old) and signed with Penthouse for a nude photo shoot...I forget for how many millions $$...Great examples for young'ens here looking forward to a career in the music bussiness.
