1000 perks for a plane is waay too high imho.

Ive been flying for a month with and barely have 400 points. And I do fly a lot, having no job and no social life.

I would expect cheap perk planes (chog, n1k, late war planes) to cost like 10 or 30 perkies.. it takes 2 to 4 sorties to get those points. More powerful rides like the me262 and the like I'd expect to cost from 300 to 500 perkies.

Honestly though, how many Me-262's do you expect to see a pilot in a given month if it cost 400 perkies? Once? Twice?

Not to mention if HTC adds a "pay perks to repair your perk plane" + repair depot on the airfields... or perk weapons (b29=500 perks, nuke bomb=500 perks or pay 4 perk points to load air-to-air rockets or aerial bombs on your 109!). The rate of perk point consumption vs gain at these prices would allow a player to at least ride his perk plane at least twice a month.

Another idea I like is to have the perk rides be "bought" with perk points. In this case, an Me-262 WOULD cost like 1000+ perk points. But you get to keep the plane until it is destroyed. The plane is "purchased", perk points permanently deducted from your perk point base and the plane is added to your "owned plane" list in your account. When you want to fly it, click on the plane listed under "Purchased Planes" title (which would be avaliable in the Hangar clipboard) and select the ride and fly it. This coupled with repair depots (which demand perk points in order to repair damage to the craft) would keep the pilot with his plane until he is killed.. then its back to that c202 'n go buff hunting *grin*

I can dream cant I?

The funny, and great thing is, HT ain't gonna give in to all these whines about the cost of perks. Just like he didn't give in to the effectiveness of the Hispano 20's, and I like it. Keep the perks high HT.

wow... I actually agree with LJK Raubvogel (had to cut and paste his title tho).

Guys... there are some in my squad with thousands of points right now and you can't beat these guys in equal planes... They will make you very frustrated with the idiotic "perk" system.

Why have perks anyhow?   A "trophy u can fly" LOL... A trophy for what? the ability to camp online or to do boring toejam?   This you should be rewarded for?   No worse, not just you rewarded but.... Everyone else is punished because you are an anal retentive with no life or, in the case of a very few, so good that you rack up points no matter what you do.

So what of the newbies?  Does it make sence to do even more than the allready steep learning curve to drive them away?

And even at 1,000 points per uber ride.... It will insure that there is one of those things in the arena at all times so that the Hog you fight might be a -4.   You won't know till it easily outclimbs or catchs you.   Bet that will make for some real interestin channel 100 "conversation".....

Animosity, gaming the game, unfair and lopsided arenas, even less action ... I don't think a worse idea coulda been concieved.

Thx Targo your probably right get it while the getting is good. That is also an example of how it is screwed up. The more I think about it the perk thing is a bust. I don't like the idea of anyone getting a better plane on here just because they fly better or camp out all day on AH. I pay the same amount of money and when I'm working over time for 3 or 4 months during the summer I don't want that to have any effect on my ablilty to fly any of the planes anyone else can on AH. My system would allow for both the AH lifers and the real lifers to fly the neat stuff with out unbalanceing the game.
