Stand alone film viewer... how to make a suggestion
« on: February 12, 2002, 12:56:35 PM »
I've seen the anouncement of the new stand alone film viewer brought up as a general "who cares" kind of thing.  I'm sitting here shaking my head wondering if some people will ever get it.  In the same thread comes a "I'm out of here cause I didn't get what I wanted" post.

It really isn't the way to go about things.

These were taken from the Gameplay/Feedback forum:

Take the time and read through them.  Look for "HTC WE NEED THIS NOW!"... or "IF YOU DON'T DO THIS I QUIT!"... or "THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE A PRIORITY!".  This may save you some time: you won't see it here.

Its not always about how loud you yell or stomp your foot.

Once again HTC... thankyou very much for this addition.

Looking forward to the new film viewer myself...especially the AVI export.  GREAT addition HTC.  The movies them AssAssIns brought us were great, and I'd love to see more.  This'll make it so easy, I may even do it!

I used to love to watch other peoples' films in DOS AW.  There were some classics that really established certain characters in the lore of the game.

My only problem with films is that the camera switch in my cockpit should be labeled "Die Like a Dog".  Every time I turned the darn thing on.....

Since Ive been playing Ive been wondering how to turn AH films into AVI's. Thanks HTC!!!

Now with the help of a few editing systems I will be bringing AH gun camera footage to whole new level. Stay tuned when the new version drops, for Nefari's Victory Reel!!
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Yep :) Good point deja

One thing I'd like to point out is that this new film editor will overshadow the work of those who have made movies thus far.

hblair will always be 'the man' even if he won't be l337 anymore with his ATI / VCR setup
