choosing weap to use in flight??

How do you fire a rocket if you have rockets attached?
I hit every button on my J stick and all I ever fire is the
cannons..

If and when I make it back to land my plane  out of ammo
I allways have those rockets attached.

Bonjour !

Provided you have the default key map you should use BACKSPACE to select the secondary loadout (press several time it will cycle your different loadout)
After you have selected the correct loadout just use the secondary fire key (I don't recall if it's N or B search by yourself)
And voila :)

Hit backspace to select ordinance, then "B" or secondary fire button on joystick.

This works for bombs, torps, DT's, troops and rockets.

Yes, it will give you an info in the secondary weapon counter window (somewere among the gauges, depending on the plane):
 i.e.
DT + of remianing fuel in it for drop tank,
 B+ for bombs,
 RKT + of remaining rockets.

Phentop, you can also assign a button, switch, thingie, what ever you have on your stick, the task of secondary weapons assignment,  that way your not looking for the keyboard while trying to dive on a target and select your rocket loadout all at the same time.
