Warbird flight cost
« on: February 11, 2002, 04:41:48 PM »
I just flew a Texan in Florida. It was a free bonus ride froo the graduates of Tom Reilly's Warbirds Restoration School (in addition to a ride in "Panchito", a B25J Mitchell). They normal charge is around $300/hour, or $450/hour for the full aerobatic schtick.

They had some P-51 there as well, I don;t know an exact price, but I think it is  around $600-700/hour.

According to Tom Reilly, an hour of flight for the B25J is $750. It is the owner cost, not the rental fee.

I would strongly recommend a Texan flight. This plane is wonderful to fly.

Opps, did not mean start a new topic. I was trying to reply to Funked's thread and posted a new thread instead.

Yes. The one I flew was SNJ, but it's basically the same thing.

I would have expected the P-51 to cost much more than that per hour.
