Link timed out, no can do.

Anyway, if it is $24.95/month, I eat crow right here and now.

When AH was $30ish,  I thought it was the bargin of the month, and told people so that squeaked. Course that was before IL-2, DOD, MOHAA, RTCW, etc... which makes up for the WWII online sims dating themselves as this new software comes out.

At that price, in this market,  it's suicide, and I once again underestimated HTC.

Funny thing is that the next release due before the new plan ALMOST brings WB III up to AH feature wise. They have ground AI (with MUCHO problems and complaints) and the CV's will list have a damage model I wish AH had.

Graphics for damage and effects/visuals for weapons and ordinance still suck. See Dadmans movie. The planes (External shots) look great but the terrain, sky colors, the clouds (even Ozzy Osbourn ditched that "mist" effect in the early 80's) and everything else just blows.

I too thought AH was a great deal at $30/mo. But since all the sims/games had settled to $10-$15 per month (Except WB 2.77) to see WB III severely buck the trend in face of tough competition is myopic beyond belief.

Course, WB III's loss will be AH's gain. :)

Big update, yes I guess
-CV's
-Manable ack positions
-Ships, and again gunner positions
-Stearable CV / ships (arena setting)
-Naval battles AI / player
-New terrain (tunisia) and textures / ground objects
-More AC (not sure the final list yet)
-Torpeo's
-Many new small features people asked for, like zoomable field maps, icons, etc
-1 to 1 bullet modeling (if load tests work)
-Many Fm changes / fixes
-Jumping into AI gunner positions on the fly
-PDC formed and have put out there first works
-etc

Is it worth the extra 15$, not for me to say.

Fact is WB needs marketing more then anything else, given our retenion rate, it's just a matter of exposure.

As far as WBIII developement, just getting a little more help will make a BIG difference, as you will soon see

Woohoo look at that list of features. Sounds strangely familiar...

Pricing it at $10-15 more than the competition to give the same features (more or less) seems to me to be a bit of a marketing risk: For 5 cents less, you can sign up for Aces High and WW2OL. D'oh!
Hmmm - I can see the Warbirds 3 adverts now:
"Why pay less for 2 games when you can have just one. Yes, for more than the cost of both our competitor brands combined, we offer you just one game. Warbirds 3: less is more. For details call our 24-hour hotline: 1-800-RIP-OFF" :D
