I'm finding very little to whine about.  Oh well I guess that means less stress on the UBB host.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it, personaly. Not since my naive first year in AW several years agao have I been so enthralled with online WWII aircombat/flight simming.

I am pretty much upset about only one thing. That is the Johnson and Zemke modes for the P-47 DO NOT  work.  I'm getting my bellybutton handed to me and I demand [fist slam on desk top for emphasis] that HTC do something about this.

(actually it's hot or cold in the P-47. I get a several multi kill flights (six A-A kills in one run) and then I get kciked like a dog laying in the gutter for the rest of the night. Gonna change my name to Red Sox)

Hey Westy,

Don't have much of a problem killing people in Jug Not on par with Johnson or Zemke, of course, but hey if I get less then 2 kills per sortie in the plane, I'm very upset If you need any help with it, just catch me online.

P.S. DMF, squaddie of mine, is pretty good in Jug too. I call him DMF The Ripper after he made that incredible 11 kill sortie in P47

Well, I think pilot ego is still way undermodeled. I'm not nearly as full of myself as I should be  . On the other hand, I think the ego hit-bubble is probably too large, as mine is regularly punctured by stray rounds...even a .303 seems to zero-in on it in an unerring and most disconcerting fashion.

Seriously, though, the P-47 is the most pleasant surprise I've had in a flight sim in a long time.  While I don't have any flight-test data to go on, it seems to behave as annecdotal information dictates it should.  And so far, while flying it I've run out of fuel, run out of altitude, and run out of luck; however, I've never, never, NEVER run out of ammo  .  My average is three kills/sortie when flying in an air-to-air mode.  It's the only plane where I regularly strafe ack with it.  It is most definitely NOT the turkey it is in brand-W, either.  All I can say is, "Thank you, HiTech Creations!"

Well, Gabby mode doesn't work for me yet, but at least I brought this from WBCon.

Thanks Daff ! I'll try Ctrl G and see if Gabreski mode helps me    MX22 I'll take you up on that. I feel the same way about less than a two or three kill run with that machine   As for DMF. Sheesh. The guy has phenominal "SA" , not to mention great ACM skills. In that "other sim" I repeatedly had my head handed to me by him. Never did shoot that bastidge down. Not once    Which is why when I ran into him noprht of A1 a couple of weeks ago and saw it was him in a 51 who shot me and my 38 down I was stoked and reupped right away, making a bee line for the same area. I wanted to continue dogfighting and maybe for just once I'd get him    Just once is all I want.  Just one time.

 But back on topic

One feature that has impressed the hellout of me (there's alot that has actually)  is when an aircraft blows up in front of me, the shower of small debri that flies by my cockpit is so real-like that I almost want to hunker down in my seat at the computer to keep out of the way.  "Eye candy" IS a big deal and it's first rate here in Aces High.
