Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

My cousin has one that he uses for MS flight sim 2000 (ugh), I tried it once.. was cool, but you just *CANT* keep the whoopee thing on the desk.

You'd have to screw it in..and then it interferes with keyboard position.. or the monitor.. ot the throttle. Its a pain. Plus most dont have a view hat, you'd still end up flying with 1 hand on the stik, the other one on the numpad and grabbing the throttle with your teeth

tried one

if you like flying cessnas in flight sim 2k, its cool

otherwise it would suck for dogfighting. you'd be shoving the thing full bore through the desk if you were flying a spitfire.

The advantage to a yoke would be the lack of spring centering. It would be like always having your pitch and roll forces trimmed out.
The CH USB yoke looks pretty good for P-38 fans if you can figure out a convenient keyboard location.
