just came back from 1 month PINK Boogie Tozeur 2002 (a Skydive Event), where i HAD to lear to skydive -> company policy ... each pilot has to be a skydiver too!

Ha and i got payed for it too

it was so awesome i didn't even get to miss AH (yikes) sorry HT. the only thing i have to implement now into AH is that the drunks shout "READY, SET, GO!!" before they get dropped

On the flying side of it i got to land at the film scenes of Starwars, right in the desert, fly single engine with jumpers jumping from the roof, do zero-g flights, drop rubber rafts.. what a month

Congrats dude, you got yer certificate yet? 50 qualified jumps minimum here, dunno the rules at yer place.

OK, i gotta ask. Why the rubber rafts?? do they slow you down that much to make the dive last longer?

I'm going by memory here, I think a 13k, 45 second delay jump (been along time, are my numbers about right?) you'd add about another 10 sec at least to that free fall, 10 seconds in free fall is like adding 5 min. I personally never had a sense of time when free falling, thank goodness for altimeters! Beep Beep Beep.

WHY NOT

it's called free-fall toys, or better say everything you can toss out of an airplane will get tossed out eventually... that's why people do car-diving, rubber rafts, sky-balls all sorts of things.

And Sanata you're correct it's fercking awesome.... i didn't like the floater exits (facing in flight direction) because you have to walk to the door then turn around and jump and it gives you this weird fear of falling out which is completely irrational cuz you WANT to jump out of the plane... but DIVE exits man they are so much fun ... kind of like jumping into a pool ... it's just a bit deeper

Oh and we need 28 jumos for the Austrian license and you can jump with me any time Sanata... provided you are pretty fast
