Yeah, good point DJ. However, I cant stand when Republicans try to shove the successes of the Clinton Administration onto Reagan/Bush's back.

That's because Clinton came in on an upswing.  He never had to try to recover from a downswing.

Its all cyclical... as many point out.  It just seems everyone is fighting to take credit for the good times... and assign credit for the bad.

Basically... I don't see the current state of the economy as being Bush's fault.  We can critique his decisions all we want, but he simply did not get this ball rolling... he's just trying to stop it.

I can't say many have successfully done that since term limits were installed for presidents;)

*rolls eyes - and to think I tried to help you! :D

I'm not saying Bill was a morally good person, but he was a good President.  At least he could publically speak and was truly intelligent.  Dubya is an absolute moron and cannot speak publically to save his life.

I will give Dubya one thing, he coralled one helluva cabinet!

Not true at all. He maintained a very high approval rating right up to the end.

So ......I'm guessing Gerald Ford is responsible for the Reagan boom?

What really gets me is all you guys who think Clinton was the freakin antichrist! He was just a guy the majority of the Country felt deserved the office, and that the majority of the Country felt did a good job. Sure he pulled a couple of stupid stunts, but he also led us through the greatest economic growth in our nations history.

You all remind me of a team who lost 8 straight and instead of congratulating the winner, you scream how you were cheated.

got an email, didn't know where else to put it so I stuck it here: :)

THE TRAIN RIDE:
In a train carriage there was Bill Clinton, George Bush, Janet Jeno and Bo Derek.

After several minutes into the trip, the train passes thru a dark tunnel and the unmistakable sound of a slap is heard.

When they leave the tunnel, Clinton has a big red slap mark on his cheek.

 (1) Bo Derek thought - "that sleazeball Clinton wanted to touch me and by mistake, he must have put his hand on Janet Reno, who in turn must have slapped his face."

 (2) Janet Reno thought - "that dirty Bill Clinton laid his hands on Bo Derek and she smacked him."

 (3) Bill Clinton thought- "George put his hand on Bo Derek and by mistake she slapped me."

(4) George Bush thought- "I hope there's another tunnel soon so I can smack Clinton again.
