15th Panzers 'Roll' over airfields last night
« on: July 01, 2000, 09:11:00 AM »
After several attempts to take A37 last night, CaveJ changed targets for the 15th Panzers last night, and we went on to roll and capture 2 enemy airfields in battles that made the Ardennes look meek at best.

At one point, GhostH and Cave combined for 32 kills between the two of them in one sortie.

Both fields were hotly defended btw, made for some fast & furious action for both sides.

Salute to both sides, hope you had as much fun as I did.

I don't have an anti-tank sentiment... though I do question the modelling.

by the way.. nice work.  I was practicing some JABO runs (futile effort at best) and saw you guys coming in on 22?.  It was a sight to behold.

I would like to <S> the ground attack against 37, but I would also like to give a big <S> to the Rooks that defended and HELD 37!

We defended it with a combination of Aircraft and Ground Units!  It truly was a combined ops assault and defense.

I was there, on the ground and in the air, during these attacks.  It sure was fun striking deep into bishop territory right to their HQ.  I even managed to capture 2 fields on 1 c47 sortie. (Rearmed and took back off.)
