Reformatting Windows XP
« on: February 22, 2002, 11:24:33 AM »
I would like to reformat my computer.  However I am not real sure how to do it.  It is a custom computer and did not come with a startup disk.  Any advice on how to reformat would be appreciated.  I am using WindowsXP btw.

Put he XP disk in and restart your computer.
In the bios change the start up to cd-rom.
when xp restarts...it will say "press any key" to start CD.
push "F8" to agree
and re-partition "aka" format with in xp
Make sure you read everything. Do no onstall xp over exisiting OS.
From here it is all automatic

Hope this helps,
