THe Marine Air Wing made its first appearance in TOD last Friday. We had 21 Squad Members up and loaned 3 to Drill for Buff duty. The rest of us lifted in KI-61's heavy for A-4, with orders to distroy the base. The MAW hit the base hard while only encountering minimal resistance. A-4 regenerated immediately causing confusion for the group, however the MAW regrouped at A-3 and reloaded on the rearm pads while under attack from a few bad guys that didn't live very long. Once in the air again, the MAW attempted to return to A-4 to kill it again as ordered, but before we could get to alt, we were jumped by a gang of P-38's and P-47's.
The Marine Air Wing now has its feet wet in TOD. We expect to be a force to be contended with as we gain experience. Best of luck to the other squads in TOD. See you in the air soon.
