B17 Firing arc

Not a whine about buffs, just a little thought about a bug/"feuture" with the B17 firing arc that should be fixed. As you're all (most of you anyway) are aware of the B17 can shoot threw it's own surfaces, the waste gunners can shoot threw the wings wich makes some attack slightly more dangerous, not a big deal though, it's just one extra 50 cal and usually you don't attack from such an angle that the waste gunners will have to fire threw the wing.

The Ball turret is a whole other thing though, it can shoot down, it can shoot up, it can shoot in every possible direction, and in every impossible direction (allmost anyway). If I am not misstaking the ball turret could shoot in a 180x360 degree arc, say 0 degrees is straight right, it could shoot between 0 and 180 going downwards, and 360 degrees around the plane.
the ball turret in AH can fire about 20-30 degrees UP and shoot threw the whole fuselage, threw the wings, the guns can press threw the fuselage going upwards and firing at everything that doesn't attack with an angle of more then 30 degrees from the above. This is one, if not the major reason the HO attack is so dangerous, instead of facing 4 50 cal guns you actually face 6 of them.

Must be fixed soon, evevry time a gun points at a plane surface, it should stop
firing.

I agree this should be fixed..
But first fix the paper mache, 2 ping killable hull/body and components.

And add multiple gunners feature

Are the 'gunners' modeled in the damage model? Can they be killed?  Seems that they can't, but that would be a cool feature.

simple fix:

allow players bullets that hit the fuselage of the bomber to be stopped by it.

but as a concession make the bullets that hit the players buff surface from the buff guns do no damage.

I think that would be neat

Well... THe gun can be disabled. it happens to me all the time in the Lanc. but i usally get a kill anyways. and the only time the b17 shoots threw its self is when ur on a diff gun. i dar not waste one shot on a plane that i cant see. if ur on my tail and i have to use the ball and ur above i dare not waste one shot till i see u. but when u shoot all the other guys (unmaned) will shoot if they have the range of what ur aiming at.

Problem is, when one attacks from, let's say a 10 degree angle head on vs a B17 (pretty common Luftwaffe attack) you should only   (early B17's) have the Top turret against you, the later version, wich we have, we should have the chin turret and the top turret, not the ball turret aswell.

If you do this kind of attack, the gunner will most likely be in the top turret, and he will fire all guns, including teh ball turret, same thing when you attack dead 6, he will be in the tail gun, firing all 6 guns even if you come from above.
