HaMmeR (<-because I'm 14, or because all the AW folks know me as HMR?)

Call yourself whatever you want, type it however you want, but remember:

This aint AW,
An lot of AH players are not from AW,
You will be percieved by many as a dweeb because of the way you mix caps,
If an previous AW dont recognize your new handle they are dummies anyway,

This is only partially accurate; the pro-vulching posters in this thread are neither cowardly nor gutless.

The problem that I see with vulching is that it's counter-productive.  If you don't let the enemy get into the air, you won't be able to have a real fight with him.  Why would anyone want to avoid such a fight?  I thought that was the main point of AH.  Perhaps the game's emphasis on points has something to do with it.

The response that you can simply up from another base is facile.  In AH, as Laz2 often points out, the bases are widely separated.  If you only have twenty minutes to fly, wasting five of them upping from a distant base just to get back to the action becomes more than just irritating.

So I say:  vulching is silly and irritating and should be avoided.

Too bad folks are that close minded.

Hammer is one of the finest members of any flightsim community and gathers Infomation, his or others (with their permision) and shares it freely.  He is very community minded.  Iv worked with him a number of times and Have found him to be an outstanding indiviual.

Dago, I didnt take it that you where slamming him, but I just felt the need to give Hammer some credit.

Hammer,
Iv been missing your sight.  Thanks for the links.  I particulary like the write-up on joining a squad.  I like to refer newbie to that write-up.

I didn't take the time to read most of the thread, but I have this to say:

Vultching is good. It cleanses the soul and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

In fact, we asked for STRAT simply because it's the best reason to justify vulching. :)

Raubvogel, you are not far from Buddahood :)

I like either "Vulch"  or "Maim" as a mantra.   :D

Try both and see if either one fits you.  True, each must follow his own path, but others may guide you... :)
