NOTHING...

John Q public/gamer sees 128mb ram on an nVidia card, and they see that only 64 available on the ATI.. so they buy nVidia all smug and stuff...

Just more sales

128mb of memory on the vid card will likely not make one bit of difference to gamers until they start playing at resolutions over 2048...

Hmm, it might be .1 fps faster in Quake 3 at 1600x1200 resolution.... :D

Yeah for some reason many people are asking questions like 'will I benefit from moving to 128Mb Geforce MX from my current Geforce3 64Mb'

Ram size doesn't matter with current applications. All displaycards that are less than a year or two old have plenty of ram for any graphics.

In the future with increased GPU speed and ram speed, larger ram will be needed. Just not yet, especially not with Aces High.
