Shaun,

ya cant have been here long so I'll explain for ya.

"Two weeks" is a sick joke that these yanks seem to find funny.  When anyone asks a "When?" question the answer is always:

TWO WEEKS!!!  :D

Usually said exactly like that.  So.......ya come back in two weeks and bugger all has changed, it was all a lie and a further question will result in another:

TWO WEEKS!!! :D

And I wish they wouldnt put the smiley in cos just aint funny any more.

Ya see, the reason for this cos the designers dont want to set specific dates for anything in case they cant meet it........loads of people would be complaining if a deadline wasnt met so they dont release deadlines to the general public, hence the answer "Two weeks".   There's another reason as well........waaaaay back when 1.08 was released, if anyone had asked "When's 1.09" and actually been told "2nd quarter next year" there's would also have probably been a great wailing and gnashing of teeth due to the horrendous length of time involved this update compared to previous ones.

People might actually quit and come back nearer the update......and HT doesnt want that......HT wants everybody to stay in the game......forever.....mwaahah ahahahaa......no escape.

Ahem.  Anyway, all I can say is when 1.09 finally hits our HDDs we're all gonna be sooooo impressed cos anything that takes this long is gonna be seriously cool. ;).   Ok, ok,  we've been spoiled in the past, updates, bug fixes and new planes every few months.  I cant tell you how many people were hoping for 1.09 for Christmas.......that was a cool year that HT gave us CVs for Xmas.  :D

Kinda makes sense that no specific dates are given out......but after this long a wait a vague idea that we havnt gotta wait another 6 months would be nice......

Swoop, You need to get on some medication for hypertension. You're going to give youself a heartattack.

Listen, HTC is the best and has done more with the AH community (vs. most software companys that do things to the community) than any other software company I have ever delt with. Two weeks is not an unreasionable amount of time to wait to see that they need more time or that things are not going as planned. I think that anyone who works in a long term project enviroment know that timelines are impossible to draw up unless it a repeted task.

BTW it's just a game.

Fdisk,

you kidding?

Read my post again with a smile on your face.  Not having a pop, just explaining that 2 weeks doesnt mean 2 weeks to the new fella.

And what does  "Two weeks is not an unreasionable amount of time to wait to see that they need more time or that things are not going as planned." mean?

You make it sound like HTC gives us status updates every 2 weeks. Yeah right, like that would happen.  LMAO.  :D

Sorry there Swoop,

6:00am dosen't agree with me to well. I was just commenting on how it's better than the ID software's "when it's done policy" that's so very annoying.. :D
