i got saw some really good sights off of http://paparomeo.freeyellow.com
theyre gunsights for EAW, but is it possible to convert them to AH compatible files??
i really would like to
please reply to this if you know how to...

In a program like photoshop, you just need to save them as an indexed color bitmap with that pretty purple color for the background.

ok i downloaded the trial photoshop, and now can someone tell me how i go about converting these BMP files to indexed color bitmaps...as they are for our default gunsights...

any help would be appreciated

Paint bucket (no anti-aliasing, 0 tolerance) the verified same pink instead of the EAW original black.  
Seen pink in AH.
Checked format: indexed color, 8 bit, no RLE compression, Windows format of course.
No change.
Changed Indexed color format's color table (PSv5.5: Image>Mode>(Indexed color is checked)Color table) to include only the used colors.
No change.
Pasted the EAW gunsight onto a working AH sight, with AH.bmp color table changed to include EAW gunsight's used colors (even though they are the same at this point).
Still pink.

Remake each EAW gunsight by hand over working AH template bmp?
Tedious, and someone must know how to make them compatible very quickly.

Will do it in a few days if no one does, though.

ooops..sorry scooby.  Thought that was your site.  Normally by the second pop-up I'm hitting that little x up in the tip right corner of the screen.  Hate that crap.

most of those sights have been available for AH at one time or another already..
