Train Ack
« on: March 02, 2002, 05:16:42 AM »
Has anyone found a way of killing trains with rockets or cannon without getting killed by the incredibly accurate, long range, and apparently indestructible ack trucks?
I have no problem hitting the damn things - I have on more than one occasion put 4 rockets into the loco and then raked the rolling stock from front to back with 4 x 20mm cannon, but the ack never dies. I always get killed or at least severely damaged on the way out.
Or is this just another example of wildly overmodelled AI ack?
Thanks in advance.

How can they haul any cargo when they have so many radar controlled guns?

The train acks have been way overdone for a long time now and nobody in power seems to care.

Oh come on Vega!  Can ya be just alittle more negative?!  Jeez!

Priorities guys, every business works a list of priorities.  I'm sure its on the list, but I doubt its up there high.

First pass, take out AA strafing it.

after AA is out, then attack the train itself.

Good idea. Have you tried it? If you have and been successful I would be grateful of any tips, like type of plane and load out, attack angle etc. I've tried everything I can think of without success.
