I recall in AW (dontcha hate these AW nostalgia posts) that the 110 was flown expertly by a select few, with Dr. C. Hooch standing out from the crowd. It was big and slow and he could make the damned thing turn with a zeke! I'm sure Chooch is looking forward to getting his ride back in AH. He flys AH under a different name, but he is here.

:)

I honestly do not recall HTC saying what 110 we're getting. The versions are varied and so are the performances of each.

Heheheheh Me-110 gonna take the glory from P-38s I see.:D
In AW I could make those damn things turn on a dime. But climb sucks as well as speed. 110 is just a copy of the 38:D :p

Some figures for Bf110C-4:
Powerplant: 2x 1100hp DB601A engines
Armament: 2x 20mm MG151 cannon, 4x 7.92mm MG17 machine guns in nose, plus one 7.92mm MG 812 twin gun in the rear cockpit.
Speed: 349 mph @ 23000 ft
Climb (initial): 2165ft / min
Bombs: 2x 551 lb and 4x 220lb bombs.

"Bf110C-4s were virtually immune throughout the Battle of Britain, with RAF tacticians acknowledging the fact that it out-performed the Hurricane Mk I in all regimes, and that it could out-climb the Spitfire Mk I; the dive-and-climb tactics of the Bf110s were effective, and the armament had to be watched with care."

Casualties of Bf110s in the Battle of Britain were high due the tactics Luftwaffe used then. Escort missions with throttled back, Bf110s were sitting ducks to Hurris and Spits.
