Hiya,
I recently starting using Win2k and the sound intermittenly stops. Not all sounds stop, just some. I installed the Service Pack 2 and the Windows 2000 Compability Upgrade. Both helped, but after several flights I lose sound.
Leaving the game and reentering don't help. I have to reboot the machine. The sound card is an Aureal 8300 w/Win2k certified drivers.
Here is a description of the current system:
Abit TH7 w/RAID (not implemented)
Pentium 4 1.7 GHz
512 MB Ram
30 GB Maxtor HD
Realtek RTL8029 PCI Ethernet Card
Aureal 2500 (Vortex 8330) Sound Card
Leadtek Geforce2 Pro card w/2.1.8.3 drivers
HP CD Writer+ 9300
Acer ATAPI CD-ROM DRIVE 40-X
Windows 2000 w/Service Pak2 & Compatability Upgrade
Sidewinder FF2 USB
CH USB Pro Pedals
Any ideas what could be causing this problem?
