"...kill the roaches and the roach motel."

Hangtime,
That's the funniest dang thing I've heard all day.  ROTFLMAO

It does look like a little roach motel!

Lone wolfing: 109G10

With wingman: 190A8 or 190A5

Lone wolfing with an equal number of enemies and friendlies around: 109F4

JABO: 190F8 (for the sole reason that it's a cool looking plane, nevermind that the A8 is more survivable and a better jabo plane)

LW rules.  :)

The Yak-9U is definately one of the top 5 planes modeled.

I'm spending 95% of my time in and it just keeps getting better as I learn it.

SpitIX can do a lot of things better than YakU, it has both horizontals and verticals over Yak. SpitIX is one of the best high alt interceptors, and it will be extremely effective at alts where yak will be a brick. Spit has same or better climb rate on wep (depends on alt),it takes more punishment. Spit has bad 6 view, Yak's 6 view is great. Spit has hispanos, and adequate ammo load. YakU has bad punch and low ammo. My convergence it YakU set at 100ft, in SpitIX I had it at 450. And, SpitIX can fly escorts across the map, while YakU runs out of fuel very fast.

When I co-e with spit or niki I usually run, get separation, turn, avoid HO, and try to get a solution while keeping enough e to run again. If I fail to kill it in 5 seconds, I run.

Yak biggest advantages are its speed, high speed handling and its small size. If stats of % of misses against planes were available, you would see, that yak is on top. It is really hard plane to hit. More than once I had fight 1 vs many when they all simply ran out of ammo  :)

I pretty much fly anything that brings something interesting to the table.
EDIT: Yeager, # of hours flying does not artificially inflate your score. Ranked 24th in Fighter with 16hrs/50min.

Fighter:  P47, usually D-25 or D-30

Attack:  P47, D-25 or D-30

Have not gotten used to the D-11, some rave about it, I am neutral.......flew the D-30 for so long, probably won't make a change to the Razorback anytime soon.

Plane I am most disappointed with?  F6F.......seems to me to bleed E even faster than the Jugs, less top speed, climb is barely better, if any, than Jugs.......

They might not have run out of ammo - but I'll bet a few were getting close.    :D

I use to love mud moving in the P-51's, especially tank busting with either the HVARs or M8's, or anything else that would carry rockets for that matter. The fun kinda fell out of that when the armor model was changed.

Oh so correct.  Fly ONLY three sorties at the start of a tour.  Get 5 kills each sortie and land them with minimal rounds fired.  Fly no more fighter sorties and see where that 45 minutes gets you at the end of a tour  :)

Consequently, Fly for 600 hours a tour and kill 950 NMY and Die 850 times and see whos ahead of who.

Did I get your point?

For attack, the D-Hog is quite a beast. It's my choice over the jug.

I could honestly care less what these lifeless dweebs are flying.  All I want to do is kill them....still trying   ;)

It is best to be more mindful of your words, Yeager. Remember who some of your squadmates are  ;)

I thought you meant lots of hours means you are best according to score/rank Yeager.. I now see what you meant.

I didn't have a point though.   ;)

Fighter: Lite F6F-5
Attack: Fully loaded F6F-5

Really makes decisions on what to fly easy.
