Ghost Recon Patch
« on: March 08, 2002, 03:56:57 AM »
I know this might be old news for some, but they released a very nice patch which fixes some of the major team control issues that caused me to put the game on the shelf.

Now if they can just give us full skin and weapon selection like in R6/RS, and I will be a happy camper.

Creamo posted a link in this thread  about a mod for GR that gave you all the Rogue Spear uniforms and weapons.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet...

Will they let you choose any combination of primaries and secondaries?  Not being able to select frags when you have a rifle is, for want of a better term, gay.

It lacks alot of what RB6 and OFP has, but then again it is a diffrent game. I'd like to be able to knife people, steal their weapons, pull a wagon fulla toejam behind me if I wanted, but it won't let you. Hard to argue the fun though. And having all the cool weapons makes it easier for me as I'm rather new to all this.

At least with the MODS you have like 50 weapon set choices, although you cant pick and choose a loadout down to single items, the choices are better.

I do hate it when you are next to a dead demolition guy with anti-tank weapons, and the mission quits because it says you don't have enough. Not like I couldn't pull one off the dead dude.

Whatever, it's highly entertaining and only getting better. I can't wait to play FBI gangbanger killer and fight Animal in the "Gangland" MOD.

(Animal is the only one that hasn't stolen a kids Nike's yet)

That sounds like what I'm looking for.  As long as I can take some frags with my dang rifle.  A sidearm would be nice too.  I'm not sure why RSE chose to step backwards on this part of the game.

That gang thing looks cool.  I wanna be on Animal's side.

What I'd really like to see is a Blackhawk Down mod.  And in a few years the Snowy Afghan Cave Mod might be fun.

I got a Mod called "Rainbow Team2".  Pretty cool, except they got the sizes of the weapons wrong.  M14 is the same size as UMP-45.  :)
