Sidewinder throttle either "IDLE" or "FULL"
« on: March 14, 2002, 04:39:47 AM »
This behavior started recently. I can't gradually increase/decrease rpm/manifold pressure anymore. It will only go from idle to full and full to idle. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using Mitsu's custom sounds, 1.03, but that can't be the source of the problem... can it?

Have you tried to recalibrate it under AH ?

If so and if the problem persist you can have either a faulty stick or calibration data messed ...

For recalibrating look at : Saitek help calibration page

Hi Straffo.   Yes, I just recalibrated in AH and in my control panel in Windows 98.

Now, the throttle on single engine aircraft works fine.

HOWEVER,  when I advance the throttle on 2 engined aircraft, one engine rpm increases while the other decreases. When I retard the throttle, the opposite happens. The engines are at even rpms when they meet at the middle of the throttle range.

4 engine planes are screwed up too. Maybe my Microsoft Sidewinder is faulty...    Off to work right now, but I'll try recalibrating again later. Thanks, Straffo.

It look's like there is an input mapping error in your AH IMO

I'll check my copy when at home ...
