Ypsilon: Well Done!
« on: November 02, 1999, 03:21:00 PM »
I'm basically a 'historical' flyer, trying to get home alive after each fighter sortie.  It's rough when using a '43 La-5FN (my baby) against so much '44 hardware, but I try, and am slowly getting better.

However, I've been watching Ypsilon's Kill/Death record for the last few weeks as it slowly rose up: 7, 8, then 9.  Now it has reached 10.  This is really something to me, representing the type of discipline manifested by all the great aces.  Now, Ypsilon uses a P-51D, but to me that doesn't matter, especially because I think the Bf 109G-10 is a more dominant aircraft.  To reach a 10:1 Kill-to-Death ratio is hard, because it takes a certain level of discipline and adherence to procedure, sortie after sortie, regardless of the circumstances.  So, I salute you, Ypsilon!  Well done!

And I'm glad your on my side
