Why not?

Have a free perk day once a month in the arena

Would be lots of fun, relaxing.

I would go further.... 3 free perk nights a month. 2 with all perk planes except 262 enabled and one with all planes enabled. Get rid of perk systemn entirely tho. Everyone get's to fly perk planes as much as they want but no one get's to fly em except on those 3 days.

No free perks there are plenty of planes now with hi eny values to fly....some pretty good planes as well.......

No welfare system to dole out perk planes or points

to be honest...IMO it'd be more fun taking up something like a g6 for 110 and run around killing all them 262's and get mucho perkies for it.

I think you forget what it was like trying to tackle 4 or 5 jets in a prop plane. Surely you participated in one of the various "Jet Night" debacles in either AirWarrior or WarBirds?

Your only chance would be to HO. At least the C-Hog would also be free so we'd have a headon monster at our disposal for anti-262 work

Well... I would think that 3 days would work. On the first two you could use the temp, 152, -4 Spit 14 etc. and on the last.... jet day.

I would personaly not fly on jet day but it would be worth it to get rid of the idiotic perk system. The perk system is just welfare for guys who live on line anyway and a detrement to new players. I don't think spending a lot of time on line should really be "rewarded" and I don't think that guys who are good really need or should be flying the hot rods against newbies in crap.

Having said that... I am flying the -1C for a tour as an experiment. the results are interesting (to me).

nah in bout 5 min yesterday a friend got 6 emil kills and had like 30 perks.............he has over 6000 and never flies perk planes.......

I dont fly umm much myself and if anything I would raise perks to make more rare ....with 350 - 400 flying in around in 262 temps would be boring not because I couldnt kill umm but it doesn't seem like much fun chasin umm round the arena.........

what do we have.... 6 perk planes........... ?

they are real cheap in the ct and with the reduced icon range you would figure all the new guys wantin an easy cheap perk thrill would go there..........

anyway I really wouldn't care I just probrably skip flying those nights..............

wotan.. you are making my point. the guys that are realy good shun the perk rides in any case. I am by no means good but I stack up thousands of perks at a rate far higher than the poor newbie will be able to for quite some time. I don't consider that quite "fair". Takes away from the fight to me. Conversely... I don't feel I am getting any advantage in a Chog over an arena full of Spits, lags, 51's, and niks.. I thought I would fly it in the same reckless way I fly the -1A to see how thngs shake out. But...

I might (and your friend might) fly some of the perkie rides during the 2 or 3 day "free" period or.... we might just take a break or go into another arena.

Except Lazs, there isn't another arena to go to that you'd like. I can't imagine you'd have a whole lot of fun in the CT.

Now if AH had, say, 2 250-player capped MA's things would be different :-)
