screen stutter
« on: March 25, 2002, 01:34:12 PM »
I've been getting alot of screen stutter recently while playing AH.
Normally it happens while RW is connected, and If I stop using RW it goes away.  Anyway, this last time it started happening, I didnt have rw up and running.  The screen stutter wasnt bad, just a very quick hang, then fine again, happening every so often.
It was just enough to be annoying.  I gave some bad info to HT, Skuzzy and Animal, I was in the midst of looking around trying to fight. :)

Anyway, this is my system :

1.3 AMD Athlon
64 mg Geforce 2 MX
soundblaster pci live (animal i checked for the extra programs, but I dont think their installed, the setup came with the computer)
40 gig HD  its got a partition for the system section, I think
    thats normal setup these days
256 megs ram
Windows ME

I have the latest drivers for the Gforce, but can't find any drivers for the soundblaster card.  That is probably my problem.

I set my sound acceration to basic in Directx and it helped a bunch .
