Thanks for the reminder.
I read through these threads. I read about how great this pilot was, how lethal that weapon was, etc etc...
I often think to myself how the passage of time has eazed our great burdens of grief. Those pilots became great and those weapons became so discructive, by killing other people. Destroying life, that is the true nature of war.
Every person fighting in a war places their very life as the "Table Bet" to attain what they believe in. Let us not forget those who did not survive.
