190A8 Cockpit (interactive)

The link above shows a 190A8 cockpit in detail, you may click over the instruments and controls in each image to get a more detailed description and view of each one.

What do we find there?

1 - There are no ammo counters for MGs, there are only two ammo counters, one for wing root guns and the other for external guns. In AH we have one counter for ALL the guns and another for the MGs.

2 - There are no reference at all about the AUX fuel tank. Clicking in the "portmap" you will find a fuel selector handler with only four possitions: All closed, rear fuel tank closed, forward fuel tank closed and all open. In the forward instrument panel there is a single fuel gauge that could be switched only between front and rear tanks, again no reference to AUX one. If the AUX tank was used for fuel instead GM1 or MW50, then it probably was linked to FWD or AFT, but cant be seen as a separate fuel tank.

3 - In the forward control column and the forward panel you will find two switchers and two handlers. The central handler is to release ventral stores, and the left handler is to release wing stores. The two switchers are related to WGr21, the left one is a safety switch and the right one is to launch them (Hohun literaly translated "Absprengschalter" as jettison). So, it seems these tubes might be jettisoned by a handler or by a switch.

4 - In the portmap you will find a smal trim control for the tail plane (+5 / -5 degrees only). 190A8 only needs that for vertical trimming, and no aileron/rudder trimming was needed at all.

5 - The airspeed indicator goes up to 900 Km/h.

6 - There is a coolant temperature gauge (0 - 130C). Whitch coolant?
